Lighting Workshop by Arghya Lahiri at Jagriti

Bump it UP, Lighting Workshop by Arghya Lahiri at Jagriti

The workshop will serve as a basic introduction to the craft of theatre lighting. Spread over three sessions, participants will engage with the fundamental tools of lighting design, execution and operation. This will cover standard lamps, their uses and the range of their ability, the understanding of lighting systems and rigs, and approaches to designing and executing light plans. The overall thrust is to more completely understand and appreciate a lighting designer’s role within the theatre. The workshop will be almost completely hands on.

Participants are therefore advised to wear comfortable clothing and closed shoes, preferably rubber-soled.
