Come this October in the beautiful city of Bangalore, here’s your chance to watch some of the best in college and amatuer theatre!
Admit One 2008, the Annual International Theatre Festival of the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, will be held from 31st October – 2nd November, 2008, at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Auditorium on Racecourse Road. The show is at 2pm onwards on 31st and at 11am onwards on 1st and 2nd.
Hosted every year by the Cultural & Fine Arts Committee, the last edition of Admit One was a notable success and earned lavish praise from the Indian theatre community.
With participation of 20 teams from the most prestigious institutions including U. E. T, Pakistan, inauguration by renowned classical dancer, social activist, television producer and film and stage actress – Mrs. Mallika Sarabhai; the presence of esteemed Bangalore theatre artist Mrs. Arundhati Nag and an inaugural play by Colour Wheel Productions; Admit One 2007 definitely proved to be the next level of theatre festivals in Bangalore with great acting, high emotion and thrilling entertainment.
Admit One returns this year to celebrate anew the diverse cultural expressions and manifestations of the enthralling world of theatre. The National Law School acts as an inspired platform, using its reputation for organizing great events such as the NLS Parliamentary Debate, Le’Gala and legendary rock show Strawberry Fields as leverage to attract great talent, and guarantee a great and professional show. This year, we have teams from Lady Shriram College, IIT Kharakpur, MSRIT, RV Engineering College, NLIU, Manipal Institute of Technology and many more as well as amateur theatre groups such as RATS, Mashaal Theatre and Stage Left coming in.
