Actors Required for Short Film

“Anonymous Filmmakers” will be shooting our third Short Film “The Flower Man” in the Second or Third week of December.  It will be of Duration 7 mins.  The movie is being shot to be showcased in International Film Festivals.

Requirement:

We are looking for the below roles, 1 male and 2 female artists.

1 Male Artist 30’s – Dark and plain looking. 2 or 3 days of shooting
2 Female Artist 20’s to 30’s – Classical, gorgeous, handsome – we will leave it to your imagination to describe yourselves 1 day of shooting
3 Female Artist 20’s to 30’s – Classical, gorgeous, handsome – we will leave it to your imagination to describe yourselves 1 day of shooting

Shooting Details:

The artists should have experience in theater or film. The selected artists should be ready for rehearsal and shooting inBangalore. Artists will be compensated for their travel (Bus or train fare) and will be paid a daily rate for their services.

About “Anonymous Filmmakers”:

We shot our first short film “The Terrorist Polar Bear” and received positive reviews in Nashvillebased Film Festival. Our second short film “Daddy” was shot with internationally acclaimed artist Biradar (Girish Kasarvalli’s “Kanasemba Kudureyaneri” fame) and is currently in the sound editing stage.

Lighting Workshop by Arghya Lahiri at Jagriti

Bump it UP, Lighting Workshop by Arghya Lahiri at Jagriti

The workshop will serve as a basic introduction to the craft of theatre lighting. Spread over three sessions, participants will engage with the fundamental tools of lighting design, execution and operation. This will cover standard lamps, their uses and the range of their ability, the understanding of lighting systems and rigs, and approaches to designing and executing light plans. The overall thrust is to more completely understand and appreciate a lighting designer’s role within the theatre. The workshop will be almost completely hands on. 

Participants are therefore advised to wear comfortable clothing and closed shoes, preferably rubber-soled. 

Arghya Lahiri 
Arghya Lahiri has worked in the theatre for over ten years, for the most part as a Lighting Designer and Director. He is one of the founder members of Q Theatre Productions, Mumbai and has been actively involved in the running of Thespo – an annual Theatre Group Youth Festival. His directorial credits include: The Accidental Death of an Anarchist, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, The Birthday Party, Fireface (supported by the Goethe Institute, Mumbai), Crab (part of Writer’s Bloc II), a reading of Ramu Ramanathan’s The Three Ladies of Ibsen and, most recently, Creado, Constance, part of One on One. His lighting credits include: Flowers, Blackbird 13, Pune Highway, Hayavadana, A Number, Creeper, Manaskhore, Me, Kash and Cruise, The Secret Love life of Ophelia, Man to Man, A House of Correction, Project S.T.R.I.P., Some Girls, Bust¸ Rebecca, Nostalgia Brand Chewing Gum and most recently, Peter Pan, amongst others.

Some of his lighting work is in collaboration with Pushan Kripalani, a Mumbai-based theatre director and fellow lighting designer. He is also a filmmaker, having graduated with a Master’s degree in Film and TV Production from the University of Bristol, with a specialization in Cinematography for Super 16mm film.

Monday, 8th August – 10 am to 2 pm
